January 2008 Transition Schedule

Although much activity continues in the 1986 wing, there has been enough
progress to consider a possible January transition schedule.  Here is a
first, preliminary schedule, organized by floor:

   Second Floor
      Monday, December 3:  Prepare punch list (hopefully
         with Holabird and Root)
      Monday, December 17: Facilities Management can start 
         to prepare vinyl floors (e.g., stripping, waxing)
      Wednesday, January 2:  Math/Statistics starts to 
         move in (schedule of individuals to be arranged)
      Monday, January 7:  New office furniture and chairs arrive
      Monday, January 14:  All other new furniture arrives

   First Floor
      Monday, December 17:  Vinyl floors in place, to 
         allow stripping, waxing in early January
      Wednesday, December 19:  Prepare punch list (hopefully
         with Holabird and Root)
      Wednesday-Friday, January 2-4:  Facilities Management 
         to prepare vinyl floors (e.g., stripping, waxing)
      Monday, January 7:  Psychology starts to move in
         (schedule of individuals to be arranged)
      Monday, January 14:  New furniture arrives

   Basement
      Saturday, January 5:  Vinyl flooring installed, to 
         allow stripping, waxing by January 10
      Thursday-Sunday, January 10-13:  Facilities Management 
         to prepare vinyl floors (e.g., stripping, waxing)
      Monday, January 14:  Physics and psychology start 
         to move in (schedule of individuals to be arranged)
      Monday, January 14:  New furniture arrives
      Thursday, January 17:  Prepare punch list (hopefully
         with Holabird and Root)

   Henry Walker will work with math/statistics, physics, and
      psychology over the next month to refine specific moving
      schedules for each office, lab, etc.
