Offices: Faculty and staff are responsible for locking and unlocking their offices.

Faculty Research Labs: Faculty often work with students on projects in various faculty research labs.

A faculty member may give lock combinations to student workers.
Students will follow policies set for each lab by a faculty member.
For wet labs (e.g., biology, chemistry), Security should check door locks between 5:00 and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday), to be sure doors are locked. (Leaving wet labs open inadvertently is a safety issue, mandating periodic checks by Security.) Security also should perform period checks of wet labs through weekends.

Staff-based Areas: Staff are responsible for locking and unlocking areas in which they work (e.g., prep rooms, stockrooms).
