Teaching

I have consolidated my online teaching materials into Connections: A Hypertext Resource for Literature, which combines introductory information on literary analysis, advice on writing and research, catalogs of links, and current and former course materials. In other words, this page has largely been supplanted by Connections. Aside from the front page, you can enter Connections through the pages for Tutorial, English 120 (Literary Analysis), English 121 (Introduction to Shakespeare), English 224 (Traditions of English Lit II), English 226 (Traditions of English Lit III), or Seminars.

I have also developed one stand-alone project with students: The Transatlantic 1790s, a database-backed site including a detailed customizable chronology, customizable bibliography of criticism, and projects. I coded the site, but all the content was written by Grinnell students; you can learn much more about the site by following the link.
