Strategy #9:
Use Study Groups

Study groups often form during the week before an exam. That’s great. Even better, however, would be finding a group of people you feel comfortable with and having weekly discussions or meeting for lunch after class to talk over the works a class has covered (and how a teacher might test them). Deborah Simpson, a learning skills expert who is also my mom, tells me that her three goals for study group sessions are to “clarify and complete notes, predict exam questions, and share ideas for remembering the material.”
