REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Notes

• The Early Registration deadline has passed. Regular Registration deadline is February 18. Thereafter on-site registration fees will be charged.
  
  
• The following workshops are full as of January 23, 2001: #1, #6, #8, #10,#12, #13, #14.
  
  
• A second section of Workshop 14, Introduction for Java for High School teachers, has been added. The new section, designated Workshop 27, will be offered on Sunday morning between 8:00 and 11:00. The content and instructor of the two sections will be the same, although Workshop 14 will be lab based, while Workshop 27 will follow a more traditional classroom format. Click here for information on all SIGCSE 2001 workshops.
  
  

• The Registration Desk will be located in the Exhibit Hall of the Charlotte Convention Center and open according to the following schedule:

  • Wednesday, February 21: 4:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.
  • Thursday, Feburary 22: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Friday, February 23: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, February 24: 7:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

An On-Line Registration Form is now available. Note that this form uses https as a mechanism to address security concerns.

Completed Registration Forms may be faxed to 812-872-6060 or mailed to SIGCSE 2001 Registration, Department of Computer Science, Campus Box 97, Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, 5500 Wabash Avenue, Terre Haute, IN 47803-3999 USA.

Also, a Registration Form is available as the middle section of the Advance Program, which was mailed to all SIGCSE members in December.

Registration Categories

The following table presents various registration categories and fees for SIGCSE 2001.

Notes:

Membership Rates:

• Member rates apply to individuals who are members of either SIGCSE or ACM.

• Those who are not members of either SIGCSE or ACM must pay the Non-member rates.

• Those wishing to join SIGCSE may do so using the SIGCSE 2001 registration form, in which case member rates apply for the Symposium.

• All dates are inclusive.

  • On-line registration deadlines represent the day the registration is submitted (with deadlines at midnight, Eastern Standard Time).
  • For registration mailed through the regular mails, mail must be received by the dates shown (or postmarked two days previously).

• Examples:

  • To qualify for "Early Registration", a registrant must use the on-line form on or before January 22, or a hardcopy form would either need to be postmarked by January 20 or received by January 22. A hardcopy form mailed on January 21 and received on January 23 would fall into the "Late Registration" category.
  • A form would count as "Late Registration" if either it was mailed on Feburary 16 or it was received on February 18. However, a form mailed on February 17 and received on February 19 would shift to the on-site rate.
