Homework Assignments

Exams

There will be two 50 minute exams on Friday February 22 and April 11. There will be a comprehensive final exam on Tuesday, 5/13 at 9:00. Don't make flight arrangements or other plans that will require you to take an alternate exam. Those who do will lose a letter grade on their exam.

Homework

Homework will be due at the beginning of each class. Each homework consists of some reading, some exercises, and some problems. Be sure to distinguish between questions, exercises, and problems in the test.

Collaboration

While I encourage you to work with others, all collaboration must be acknowledged. If you got help from a friend on a problem, indicate this by writing "with help from" or "worked with" followed by the name of the person you spoke to. While you may work with others to figure out problems, be sure to write up the problem set you'll be handing in independently.

Grades
Homework: 45%
Exams: 30%
Final Exam: 25%

Accomodations

If you have specific physical, psychiatric or learning disabilities and require accommodations, please let me know early in the semester so that your learning needs may be appropriately met. You will need to provide documentation of your disability to the Associate Dean and Director of Academic Advising, Joyce Stern, located in the lower level of the Forum (x3702).
