• The 2000 Iowa Collegiate Mathematics Competition
The seventh annual Iowa Collegiate Mathematics Competition was held at Iowa State University on Saturday, March 31, 2001. A total of twenty-two teams of two or three students each worked on a collection of ten problems for three hours, submitting written solutions.
Grinnell College fielded three teams:
The results were announced at the April 2001 meeting of the Iowa Section of the Mathematical Association of America. Up to ten points were awarded for each problem.
The team of Ming Gu, Atanas Djumaliev, and Rajendra Magar earned 72 points and tied for third place in the competition.
The team of Alex Ford, Ole Nelson, and Morgan Page earned 71 points and placed sixth.
The team of Sarah Campbell and Dawa Lama Sherpa earned 64 points and placed seventh.
